Our Instructors - Hamilton Karate

Master Boun

Born in Laos, Mr. Boun grew up in Thailand and moved to the US in his late teens. He has studied the martial arts since he was a young child, leading to the founding of Hamilton Karate in 2007. He trains in Taekwondo and Muay Thai Do, holds a 6th-degree black belt, and teaches at both schools.

Mr. Travis

Mr. Travis helps lead our Adult/Teen class in Hamilton. He’s been with Hamilton Karate for many years and currently holds 4th Dan. He teaches our Tuesday/Thursday teen/adult class.

Mr. Tyler

Mr. Tyler began at Hamilton Karate in 2021, joining after his son had started classes. Together they’ve progressed through the belts, working to improve each other. He teaches our Tuesday/Thursday kids class and earned his 1st Dan in 2025.

Ms. Kristie

Ms. Kristie began at Hamilton Karate in 2016, after a year at another school. She progressed through the ranks with her daughter, and the two earned their black belts together in 2019. She earned her 1st Dan in 2021 and teaches the Wednesday evening 7+ class.

Ms. Ruth

Ms. Ruth began at Hamilton Karate with her kids through the Homeschool Program (Hamilton Virtual School) and earned her black belt alongside two of her sons. She teaches homeschool and family classes.

Master Sidney

Master Sidney joined the Hamilton Karate family in early 2022, but trained with Mr. Boun as a child. He holds a 4th-degree black belt and works with students interested in competition.

Mr. Lincoln

Started through Hamilton Virtual School and earned his black belt with his mom and brother. Assists with homeschool and family classes.

Also started through Hamilton Virtual School and earned his black belt with his mom and brother. Assists with homeschool and family classes.

Ms. Lillian

Started with Hamilton Karate at a young age and is close to earning her black belt. Helps with kids and family classes.
